Systemic inflammation is certainly a problem, but I'm not familiar with evidence that air purifiers can contribute to its amelioration. What is clear is that two other modifiable factors, obesity and physical inactivity, can contribute to systemic inflammation. I would start by addressing those known variables.

I believe that there is and will be a trend to help eliminate or reduce inflammation but not with air purifiers. It will be done with products that eliminate acid from the body which is where most inflammation comes from. Acidity comes from excess H+ protons, causes acidosis which causes inflammation. I use a product called Aqua Oh (www.optharmony.com), It is a hydroxide alkaline water made from limestone. Once prepared it has a lot of OH- ions in the water. These bind with excess H+ protons or from acids like H3O and form water eliminating the acid and thus reducing the inflammation. H3O +OH forms 2H2O molecules and is used or eliminated from the body.

I do not see a trend with purifiers, there are too many and it's confusing for most to know which ones really work.

But yes on perfume free. I use essentials oils and the quality I use does not cause allergic reactions.

And regarding inflammation, that is a factor of foods, stress and lifestyle choices.

I am definitely seeing a trend toward purity in products. People are becoming more aware of hormone disruptors and cancer causing additives in make-up, furniture, water bottles, etc. I feel this trend will continue and it is likely only to expand now that we have such awareness.

Not sure about that purifiers but there is a movement towards eliminating fragrances and other additives that would contribute to toxin buildup and in some cases inflammation.

I agree with most of comments above. Air purifiers and perfume free natural products can obviously be more healthy and beneficial for most of the population. However, air purifiers can not be present everywhere. People spent most of their time outside home so it's not possible to have purified air everywhere. Perfume free natural products to some extent can minimize the risk of inflammation.
