What is strategic planning? | Definition from TechTarget
Combining an entrepreneurial mindset with forward-thinking business strategies to establish highly profitable automotive market leaders on a global scale is my passion. Leading multi-site, multinational teams across Asia, Europe and North America to ensure strong positioning of local leadership for future growth and opportunities is my specialty. With diverse turnaround and high-growth experience in sectors that include Electronics, Powertrain, Sunroof, Body in White, Heating and Cooling, I provide innovative business and technology solutions that streamline operations and drive transformation across high-volume international operations, reducing costs while maintaining quality and profits. Notable contributions
PROFITABLE GROWTH Led INALFA’s annual China growth rate [>50% /year] over five years – established four new factories in China; opened a new R&D Center/Regional HQ; established Program Management/AME/Central Logistics and Quality teams in Shanghai.
FISCAL TURNAROUND Turned around European region loss of €2M/month on supply chain issues due to poor launch within 1 year; improved delivery ratings at key suppliers from 85% to 99%+; and by focusing on the “Top 5” suppliers, reduced supplier PPM and spills by 60%.
COST CONTROLS Reversed sale of the DaimlerChrysler plant producing Torque Converters and Steering Columns – focused on the noncompetitive area, steering systems, to save the plant. Launched a new steering column in 2005 that took 50% off of total cost. Plant is still producing steering systems and torque converters in 2017.
