Mr. Rick Latella has more than 37 years of industry experience, including 7 years as a Small Business Owner, Technical Sales Manager and Consultant of Mechanical, Electrical and Optical components. Rick possesses extensive product knowledge and business management skills, combined with broad-based, hands-on experience in sales and engineering.
Rick has over 30 years’ experience at Motorola leading large scale efforts to transfer emerging technologies from R&D to high volume manufacturing for commercial launch of consumer cellular and 2 way communications products. He is a leader in several high technology fields, having delivered robust solutions to manufacture consumer products. He has extensive experience in electronics manufacturing, quality systems implementation, and is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt. Rick established the specifications (design, decorating, painting, etc.) for high throughput injection molded plastics systems for Motorola.
As president of DMR International (DMRI), Rick helped to develop NOVEX-AMG™, a family of proprietary antimicrobial additive systems that can be mixed with solid and liquid polymer host materials. The additive systems have demonstrated greater than 99.999% reduction efficacy against E.coli, salmonella, and listeria to reduce the spread of infectious agents. While DMRI has been a corporate sponsor for Sr. Design Projects at the University of Illinois-Chicago (UIC) for the past 6 years, we are also working with the University of Wisconsin Whitewater, University of Wisconsin Milwaukee school of Freshwater Science and Concordia University.
