I am a BE (1995, VJTI, Mumbai) & MBA (1999, JBIMS, Mumbai) with 22 years of experience into FMCG/Telecom Sales & Distribution, Modern Trade Retail Operations & Merchandising, Hospital Startup Operations and now working as a Freelance Management Professional.
Started my career with L&T into Switchgear Quality Assurance as a trainee and then post MBA as Area Sales Manager with Coca-Cola. Continued with the experience of Sales and Distribution with Idea Cellular (prepaid) and then also managed Franchisee/Dealer network for postpaid business. Progressed to a General Management responsibility as Business Head with Spencer's Retail followed with a more responsible role as Merchandising Head for West. Finally, led the Hospital Operations with complete P&L responsibility for a startup EyeQ.
The corporate roles have given an opportunity to expand footprint into new markets, launch new products, improve performance metrics, grow sales and market share, build and lead large teams, establish systems & processes, initiate local marketing activations, manage partner relationships, work with cross-functional teams for synergy and to build business profitably.
After 2015, I have been engaged in the areas of career planning and mentoring, content development for business management and education, business consulting and development, etc.
