Summary

Fully bilingual, with a career ranging from hospitality to senior executive positions in luxury retail, Normand’s experience in the retail and service sectors is unparalleled. From leading a company entertaining cruise ship guests to having national retail responsibility in both the field operations and merchandising areas, his strong leadership and people skills have allowed him to consistently deliver success for some of the highest profile brands and different sectors in the world. Normand’s extensive experience, his natural enthusiasm, and his ability to build and maintain strong relationships make him the ideal asset to achieve results and build a strong business.
Normand began his career with the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. Leveraging his customer service skills, he moved into restaurant operations as Service Manager for Chi Chi’s Restaurants, where he successfully lowered labor costs while simultaneously increasing the average transaction. From there, as Franchise & Operations Director for Monsieur Felix & Mr. Norton Cookies, Normand established new standards for franchisees while increasing their number, successfully selling multiple corporate stores and restructuring the operations department. Shifting into retail as District Manager for The UCS Group, Normand was responsible for overall inventory control and operations while simultaneously successfully negotiating collective agreements.
Moving to the Gap as District and then Regional Manager for Eastern Canada, Normand consistently hit operational targets, while creating new standards for employee retention and customer service, achieving the highest levels of internal promotion and one of the highest profit contributions in Canada. Moving to Loblaws as Zone Director for Apparel (Joe Fresh) and General Merchandising in Quebec, he was responsible for all non food merchandising programs. Normand then joined Apple as Regional Manager for Canada – Apple Sales Consultants program. While at Apple he launched the program nationally and worked with Apple’s retail partners across the country to open more than 70 Apple Shop sales centers. Recruited by American Eagle Outfitters to be Regional Director Canada, Normand oversaw 69 locations across the country.
Normand joined the Holt Renfrew part of the Selfridges Group in November 2012 in Montreal as a Vice President for the Montreal locations. Now in charge of both luxury locations for the Montreal market (Holt Renfrew and Ogilvy) he is actively working on the fusion of both locations planned in the near future, making Montreal the luxury destination with a 257K sq.ft store including brand like Dior, Chanel, Prada, Hermes and Louis Vuitton…
Normand enjoys spending time with his husband and their four dogs, indulging his love of fine food, and doing extensive charity work.
