Dr. Augustine Osagie is an accomplished physician executive with over 20 years’ experience in managing medical programs, medical staff operations, physician practice administrations, medical management, and hospital medicine.
Dr. Osagie is currently a Medical Director at Aetna - Great Lakes Region with responsibilities for providing clinical expertise and business direction in support of medical management programs to promote the delivery of high quality, constituent responsive medical care.. He joined Aetna in July 2016.
Prior to joining Aetna he was a Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer at Case Management Consultants – The Physician Case Management Company, a Regional Medical Director at IPC Healthcare, and a Medical Director at CareGuide with responsibilities for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan commercial and Medicare Advantage products.
Dr. Osagie has been on the medical staff of Detroit Medical Center, Detroit, Michigan since 1997. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a Senior Fellow of Society of Hospital Medicine, and holds an MBA degree. He also served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, and currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, East Lansing Michigan.
