If the planet is at risk from greenhouse warming, can people really save the world they live in?

Greenhouse warming may be more about governments claiming more taxes from people, and there is also the suggestion that it is not scientifically based. My late friend Tim Channon suggested this approach https://goo.gl/AUpDe9 Was his research accurate?

I am unsure I understand your question and the assumed connections. From my scan of the work referenced and the many resulting comments, the research has to do with curve fitting a cycle to the measurement of the number of sun spots over time. I am afraid I missed your point connecting the curve fitting exercise to greenhouse gas warming.
Scientific peer reviewed data demonstrates a strong correlation between temperature and the Malinkovitch Cycles. The current status shows that we should be in a coolingtrend at present and not a warming trend as we currently have measured over the last decade.
I read your opinion as to governments and taxes but I do not follow your logic. Please clarify.
