As a Naturopathic Doctor I do not beleive in using antibiotics. When I have patients with skin problems like the above, first I change their diet to help detox them and remove the sugar and other acidic foods. Then I use a special gel called Aqua OH that is an alkaline Hydroxide water with Xanthan Gum, organic Orange Essential Oil and Organic Lemon Essential Oil added to it. When the body experiences disease, the cells involved will almost certainly be toxic and thus acidic in pH. Too much acidity reduces oxygen, causes inflammation and results in undesirable skin conditions. When the Aqua Oh-! gel is rubbed on the skin it creates an alkaline enviornment where bacteria and fungus cannot thrive or multiply. The gel promotes fast healing by removing excess acidity, increasing oxygenation and optimizing immune function. This has worked very well with my patients with no side affects. The patients are very happy, the results are good and it is all natural.

Wow! that sounds really interesting and safe. Also, this kind of product will not have any side effects. What about using orange essential oil and organic lemon essential oil to your formulation? Does it make the formulation acidic or alkaline because they contain citric acid. - Abhishek 78 months ago
Thanks, the essential oils are added to the formulation and the pH is still around 12. It really does work well and helps me with my back pain and my patients have excellent results. To learn more go to www.optharmony .com - Keith 78 months ago

As a Naturopathic Doctor I would take a similar approach to Keith:

  1. Diet: Do blood testing for IgG mediated food sensitivities and remove the foods that are provoking inflammation and weakening the immune system.
  2. Diet: Balance hormones and immune system by balancing blood sugar. Remove high glycemic index and high glycemic load foods like sugar, bread, pasta, cereal, rice and potatoes.
  3. Diet: Increase intake of vegetables to 60-70% of the diet.
  4. Address the gut microbiome: Once food sensitivities have been removed, clear pathogens from the gut with herbs and replenish beneficial flora with probiotics.

Most educated consumers are aware that topical products like antibiotics, anti-fungals and corticosteroids are not addressing the underlying issue, only masking or palliating it. The patients that I see want a more natural but also more root cause treatment that will result in a more lasting cure.

Thanks for your lovely answer Dr. Pamela. How about the results and efficacy of the treatment by your approach? How long does it take to recover and become normal again? - Abhishek 78 months ago
Hi Abhishek, the results are quite good, everyone is different so recovery time varies. With removing food sensitivities improvement can be quite rapid, within a week or two. Correcting the microbiome can take 3 months. - Dr Pamela 78 months ago
Ok. Thanks for your answer. - Abhishek 78 months ago
