In our current ecosystem there are many different types of business models, however, these have seen success in stagnant and incumbent markets to date. With the transformative nature of the internet, now being compounded with the Internet of Things, businesses must adapt and create new and innovative ways to create new engagements, monetization, and commercialization.

I see us completely changing the way we work in the future. I believe you have seen many references, articles and conversations about this, particularly as the millennials enter the workforce. It has been a long time coming that companies and individuals have less loyalty towards one another, less short and long term benefits, less job security and more flex force working arrangements. There are so many entrepreneurial adventures that the internet has fueled and with the addition of blockchain and cryto-currencies, our ways of purchasing and trading goods and services is about to be radically revolutionalized. At the same time, it will be incredibly important that in our quest for good and different that we do not commoditize, finacialize and transactionalize everything, especially people. We see this in particular in the world of swiping right and left. Many supposedly sophisticated judgements being made in a heartbeat without heart. No doubt that many things have become more convenient and will continue to move towards this trend and human beings are naturally inclined towards making somethings easier while also simultaneously making other things harder. I am fascinated and excited by what technology can bring using multi-media, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, robotics, blockchain, gamification and social media.
I recently obtained a Masters Degree to see how we can use these exciting tools to accelerate sustainability, ethical trade and environmental justice. What is important is that we ensure that these tools, business models and mindsets go through an ethical membrane or sets of standards and agreements that ensure that we do not dehumanize one another and forget our basic nature and common sense. Ultimately we all want to play a more sustainable game for good, for the party to go on for a long time and for us to contribute to and appreciate this phenominal gift we have been given here on Planet Earth. I feel the trend we are seeing is the business is moving to digital world or we can call it digital enterprise. This is where you put the client at the center and redesign your workflows and process and use technology to enable it. IoT, Augmented reality, Machine Learning are all the fourth fragmentation working on the edge of network. This is where you run the business as predictive, understanding the changes in the market and innovate to address the gaps and needs of the business. This is how i see the business is changing.
