Abstract

We brought 25 experts together for 5 days in this virtual Think-Tank to host constructive debate concerning the Ebola epidemic. The purpose of the engagement was to harvest insights from a group of thought leaders on the subjects of emergency preparedness, epidemiology, infectious disease, hospital operations, and the training of health organization professionals. The resulting insights are relevant for practitioners, media, political leaders and the general public. This initial Think-Tank will serve as a pilot among a series of discussions that will explore a prioritized set of issues that are largely misunderstood and have the most impact on the global community's battle with Ebola.
