@milburnski

I've founded, co-founded or joined several privately-funded startups, managed numerous private financing's, an IPO and several post-IPO financing's. I participated in several acquisitions as a Director in a public company, and a turnaround and divestiture of an acquisition as CEO.

I've typically served in top management at the strategic level in both private and public companies.

Today I am Chief Executive Officer of VAIREX air systems, a developer and global supplier of fuel cell cathode air blowers, with offices in Boulder, Colorado and Tokyo, Japan. We supply customers in the Americas, Europe and Asia.

Specialties: Innovation, entrepreneurship and finance of alternative and clean energy technologies.

Experience

Managing Member & CEO

VAIREX air systems

August 2010 - Present

VAIREX air systems is a developer, manufacturer and supplier of patented regenerative compressor systems to the global fuel cell industry. Our original focus on early market applications such as Telecom Power, Distributed Generation, and Industrial & Specialty Electric Vehicles has now expanded into fuel cell trucks and buses to serve explosive growth in the China market.

VAIREX is the technology leader in the industry, with products are are smaller, more durable, more efficient and cost-competitive with the alternatives. Our manufacturing line at our Boulder, Colorado headquarters is capable of building 65,000 blowers a year to global cost, quality and delivery standards.

Board Member, Treasurer

Colorado Solar Energy Industries Association (COSEIA)

July 2014 - Present

I've come full circle from the beginning of my career in solar architecture and thermal solar manufacturing to joining the Board of COSEIA as treasurer. My goal is to help COSEIA become more financially stable by developing a more compelling value equation for the full range of participants in one of the most vibrant solar economies in the United States, and the world.

Secondarily, I'm working on the public policy side to enable solar systems of all types to coordinate better with renewables of all types, as well as distributed generation (such as fuel cells), and other conventional generation sources to build a robust, cost-effective and low-carbon energy system that can carry us into the future.
