Well the year that was: Peculiar; exhausting, challenging and ultimately rewarding and satisfying.
For the last 6 years year's I have worked on NZTE's IGF, our Briefing for the Incoming Minister tells its story as at May 2017: circa $70m of Crown money, around $80m of Company money and over a $1bn positive delta in NZ payroll; NZ supplier spend and EBITDA. A well thought through piece of policy; well executed by a small dedicated team. Whilst I was just one COG, I like to think I made a difference.
I was also associated with FUSO's near doubling of market share: the acquisition of award winning Hush, by award winning Switched On Building Services, and making some early steps to get FINSIA relevant in NZ again.
What we do is simple - Armillary helps companies: companies are about people: customers, employee's, owners and suppliers. Armillary helps people.
One of our goal's is to provide honest assessments and direct feedback, my goal is to help people better understand the impact on value of the business decisions that they make. I use the same tools.
These days, I spend most of my time on advisory work and governance of other peoples businesses: Keith Andrews Holdings, FUSO NZ, Switched On Group, Switched On Building Services, TRA, Zavy, and assisting NZTE in the financial and governance due diligence on its IGF portfolio. It's busy, challenging and intellectually rewarding work.
The question is: "How can we help you to add value to your business?"
