I am a faculty research associate working at Oregon State University. I am focused on the development of sustainable materials for thin film coatings for optical and electrical applications. In this role, I mentor graduate and undergraduate students, while conducting use inspired fundamental research. Though my expertise is in experimental chemistry, I am actively working on computational projects (mostly in Gaussian) to complement my experimental work. While working in the CSMC, we have published several papers (updated below) and submitted two patents.I am very passionate about material science and chemistry. I am always interested in connecting and/or collaborating with other scientists and engineers or former classmates. Feel free to contact or connect with me. Expertise in Chemistry, Materials Science, and Nanotechnology. Thin-film deposition and characterization using XRD, XRR, and spectroscopic ellipsometry. Material imaging using AFM, SEM, and TEM.Synthesis of organometallic, polyoxocations and polyoxometalates, nanoparticles, and nanowires.Bulk matter characterization using TGA/DSC, FTIR, Raman, EDX, XRF, and XPS. Solution analysis using NMR, DLS, SAXS, ICP, GFAAS, and XRF.
