I seek ways to improve patient care management & patient safety through the use of real-time data and data from multiple sources surrounding the patient.
Hospital and healthcare systems have been dealing with problems surrounding medical device integration, medical device informatics, alarm management, improving patient safety around high-risk, high-cost healthcare syndromes, and reducing overall length of stay to reduce costs while not increasing health risks to patients. My life work has been dedicated to reducing or solving these types of problems in healthcare enterprises.
I do this by assisting healthcare organizations in capturing and analyzing automatically-collected point of care data to seek trends in conditions that are not readily visible from the myriad sources of data that inundate the healthcare provider on a daily basis, and by assisting in the measurement and identification of key data that can be used to identify patient trends.
