The BOOST (Better Occupational Outcomes with Simulation Training) grant created three short-term, stackable certificates in healthcare that take less than one year to complete utilizing high tech simulators, 3D/virtual reality technology, online course materials and demonstrations. My responsibilities include:
• Ensure Healthcare Simulation Center and 3D/VR resources are fully operational for student learning
• Collaborate with faculty, academic program coordinators to develop 3D/VR teaching resources
• Manage SIM Center & 3D/VR Lab scheduling
• ensure that SIM and 3D/VR resources are fully integrated into classroom learning
• Manage electronic capturing and archiving of student healthcare SIM and 3D/VR experiences
• Provide faculty and staff with requested data to direct improvement of student learning
• Supply evidence for programmatic modifications and outcome decisions
• Manage the databases, computers, networking and A/V systems
• Interact with the college IT systems to ensure data integrity among the systems
• Provide period reporting data to contribute to ad hoc reports required by internal and external sources
• Perform periodic evaluation and troubleshooting of equipment and manage repairs
• Serve as a liaison with vendors and contracted entities
• Ensure equipment, software and scenarios are maintained in the most current status
• Manage supply inventory and cost effective delivery of services
• Teach in-service programs for to increase the effectiveness of SIM and 3D/VR learning resources
• Train part-time simulation personnel
• Train and supervise students, faculty, and staff on production of multimedia items
• Insure that the tenants of UDL, educational archival protocols and commons licensing are met at all times

A collaborative project involving 4 colleges and 2 high schools that is developing the physical structure and digital skeleton of a 3D immersion reality training and gaming platform. Website down while part of Boost Grant see above.
